Is the Nostos EA or R1 EA more powerful?

I was reading some threads in the Inferno forum here recently.  It was said that the scale of the Earth Alliance in Inferno: Nostos is different than the Earth Alliance from the original Inferno (R1).


Could someone elaborate a little on that please?  Does that mean one EA is more powerful and has more ships than the other?

INFR1's EA is the Sol faction, Nostos' EA is a Sol faction (though the leading/major one). The scales involved are undoubtedly different, so yeah, that may have direct consequences on pure military strength.
