State of the mod/website
i recently checked the ship database for info on how the mod was going, however most of the items seem out of date.

the impression this gives is that the mod is mostly incomplete, and i know this is not true. i have seen b-wings in game in one of your videos yet the website lists the texture as wip.

i was just wondering if we could have an updated list of planned ships/ features and their status in terms of being in game.

thank you reading this and taking the time to build such a wonderful TC.

Re: State of the mod/website
Unfortunately in many cases, keeping a website up to date for projects like these sort of falls by the wayside.  There are a number of reasons, primarily its often a secondary or tertiary priority that's a distraction from actual game development and more oftentimes the forum acts as the central hub of the team and its interface to the public.

I'm sure the FotG team tries to remain diligent on keeping the site up to date, but as I mentioned its often going to be like to have, rather than a need to have.

Correction: IRC is the central hub.

However, you are correct that websites are tendentiously outdated. I don't know if it were any different if it were a stickied topic that keeps updated.

We have a stickied topic, that already needs updating too.  Not sure if you were referring to that or not.

I'm back to pledge my support, now that Star Wars Galaxies is closing and there's no longer any incentive for me to update my ILM mod.

B wing video? which one?

Also, did you find out a way to implement movable foils (x wing and B wing)? That would be beyond awesome!

Movable foils are something that is and has been possible in the engine for a very, very long time.

Re: State of the mod/website
Our Lambda shuttle has movable wings already. There must be a screenshot about it in the News board.

EDIT - Well, I can't find it now, but we do have it implemented.

For the B-wing and Lambda, yes. For the X-wing, no, because the thrusters can't be made to move with the wings.

I thought the engines were completely stationary on the X-Wing when the wings moved?

Can't glow points be moved? (iirc there are glow points on the spiny parts of the UEF models in BP). Im sure you know best, im just curious if those can be moved, why not thrusters?

Glowpoints can have a parent subobject and presumably they rotate with them, whereas thrusters can't. We've looked into it pretty exhaustively and there's no way to do it currently; it requires a new code feature of some kind.
