You can't use this campaign with SCP so far since Revenge uses a modified root_fs2.vp

I'll do the fixings when I get back home.

I'm probably not quite there yet, but the only thing I found different in there was modified ships and weapons tables I yanked them out and made a SCP mod folder and dropped them in. I don't know what I'm doing. WEEEEEE!!!! When I get to mission 19, if it's crashing I'll see if I can figure something out.

You'd be better off looking into using modular tables so that the campaign stays compatible with FS2_Open as it improves.

All the weapon names and specs are in German.
Also all of the tech room is in German.

This campaign was huge fun and a great storyline. 

Things that still need checked for:
-Main briefings that go below default cutoff point.
-Failure for the missions
-Hitting F4 and going to the events tab..not necessary though.
-Translation of all the names of the weapons in mission breifing and tech room.
-Some of the ship descriptions are in german in tech room..Orion II for example.
Cause what you got is what we need and all we do is dirty deeds!
-Best FS Campaign Theme Ever

bfobar has a good idea here...

Any FS2_Open users want to test these tables?  I whipped up a ships tbm, and fixed weapons.tbl as best I can... that one is so complicated I think the full table replacement is still necessary.  With these two files, you don't need the replaced root_fs2.vp , so get rid of it.

Meanwhile I've sent Turalyon some fixed missions, hopefully they fix the problems with 20, 22, 44, and 59.  He'll probably be updating his release file soon.

to mission 20 and 22.
with -disable parsing errors the missions starts.
but mission 22 are unstable and crash often back to desktop.

mission 40: the marcopolo dont warp out, so the mission can not complete.

I have some personal stuff to take care of right now. So the fixing stands still.

But 2 things

1. Here are the 4 mission that were unable to load:

This will spare you to use the modified root_fs2.vp and makes you able to play this campaign in FS2_open (hopefully :) )

Just thought I'd respond to a few things in order. 

1.  Been awhile since I did that mission but the the polaris rocket (I think that's what it's called) did nothing to the mara's in the "Steal the Fighters" mission and yea I had the engines targeted..oh well I'll just redownload them all later and try it again.

Sometimes I don't put the mission names in because I don't know what they are (when downloading orders for instance, the mission name is different but there's no way to tell in game..I had to go to the tech room and go through the campaign missions individually to tell sometimes) and sometimes I forget (like this time)

3. Prow means front...never knew that...I just knew of fore and aft, port, stern, etc

4. And the final one:  "Did you realize that you always write "breifing" instead of "briefing"?"

Actually yes and no.  No because I just used the Ctrl C and Ctrl V feature so I didn't have to type it out all the time..also I was using notepad which doesn't have a spellcheck feature.  Yes because I always spelled it like that...it's one of those words I get wrong like "comming" which is just supposed to be "coming" but just looks wrong to me. :drevil:

Since I was able to go back and go through the updated missions again, I'll post some more stuff that I found & the fact that I could go below the default briefing line.

I'm running into a pretty serious problem on the level 'Making Plans' as the GTC Nelson docks with the titan and the next wave of enemy fighters and bombers warp in the Nelsons hull just drops to zero and I fail the mission.... :eek2:
I feel like a one legged man, in ass kickin' contest!

hi,
is the 5th mission first campaign.

there where you identify the traidor in your team.

in this mission you meet the first time the admiral and your later supreme commander, which are on the aeolus cruiser nelson.
the nelson are on the way to meet the titan and dock with it, so that they can warp out.
but if the nelson will try to dock with the titan, the nelson blow up and the mission failed.

a other thing.
i have think about the campaigns and the general balance.
the orignal author, modify the laser weapons on the capitalships so, that they have a range of 6000 meters with a higher firing rate as in the orignal FS2.
but they cause any problems.

1) the balance itself; its very hard to attack a great fleet of capital ships, for the AI its the difficult really high.

2) technical problems, the game seems to have a limit for laser fire, so are many capitalships and fighters in a mission, you cant fire your primary weapons.
you got only the sound of the weapons, but no visual and no reaction on the target.

so i suggest, put down the range of the lasers to 3500m or 4000m and slow down the firerate of this weapon to 50% of that was they have at the moment.
maybe 25% but i think we have to test ist.

i think that will make the balance in mission with many capital ships better and its difficault enough to attack a ship with maxim.
and i hope that now in the big mission the limit for primary weapons will not transgression.
