Title: The "show ship" flag for Cockpits no longer works in FSO 3.8

I previously posted this issue on discord but figured that I might as well post the issue here with HLP back up.

In the previous version (3.7) i was able to have cockpits with the "show ship" flag. But as of version 3.8, the flag dosent work. Like, it seemed that something happened  to the coding or something betweent the transition of 3.7 to 3.8. Last time I checked they seemed to be looking into it. Not sure when it would be fixed  but hopefully it would be soon.

This is probably worthy of a Github bug, especially if you can reproduce it with easily acquired assets.
