The Kings Gambit torpedo problem
Hi guys,

I'm kind of stuck on the Kings Gambit mission on the Freespace2 campaign.
The problem, as you might have guessed, is that torpedoes are not available in the weapons selection menu. Searching this forums leads to the conclusion of a corrupted pilot profile.
So I downloaded the freespace2.fc2 provided by karajorma and copied it to data/missions in my Freespace dir.
And now the real trouble begins. Any action except for the exiting the game results in a segfault. I can't even think about reseting the campaign, the game crashes as soon as I go to the campaign selection menu. Same with starting/continuing the active campaign.

Delete the file, reset the campaign, add the file again, reset again.

I never was certain whether the first reset was needed so I sometimes don't mention it. If that one fixes it I'll make sure I do from now on.

Works like a charm, thanks :)

You also might want to add (don't know if you usually do) that on a linux machine, case matters.
The file has to go to data/missions, putting it into data/Missions won't have any effect whatsoever. Spelling of the file itself stays at it is though.

As for the segfault itself, I'll have to see if I can get the game not to crash in those circumstances.
