Title: I'm trying to make a flashlight... [deffered lightning cockpit issue]
Post by: Nyctaeus on July 28, 2017, 12:54:55 pm
And my efforts are successful... But light from glowpoints with deferred lightning is not rendered from default, cockpit view. Only when player camera is set off-ship, deferred lightning from my own ship is visible. Is this a bug? And is there any way to fix this?

Edit: Perhaps it's caused by lack of model of player ship itself. A "show ship" flag would fix the problem, but I don't want my ships to have cockpit views enabled by default.
Edit2: "Show ship" flag didn't handle the issue. Deferred lightning of of player ship is still not rendered, even if the glowpoints are.

This is a  known issue (https://github.com/scp-fs2open/fs2open.github.com/issues/1354).

Sorry for the mess, than. I didn't find in on HLP.

Any chances of this being fixed soon?

Can't really make a prediction there; I certainly don't know how to fix it, but I don't know if anyone else has even taken a look yet.
