"Warning, failed to save pilot file..."
Well, got FS2Open working, but when I go to create a new pilot, I get the above warning.  Any suggestions?

Make sure in the main FS2 directory under data that you have a folder named "players" and within that a folder called "single" and try again.

Thanks.  I stupidly deleted the data folder under FreeSpace2, thinking I didn't need it.  Restoring it fixed the problem.

Bad idea. For one thing all the documentation for FRED lives in there :D

That said I thought that this problem had been resolved years ago.
