0main hull objects need to be one object or they will have major rendoring problems, not to mention the just look better, rotating subobjects need to be seperate obviusly, as do turrets, but if you look at all of V's meshes there all one solid object (the hull of the ships that is) if the people that made the game did it like that there is probly a good reason.

I still find it hard to beleive that someone would actually BUY truespace. For it's price it's a piece of crap. At maybe £50 it would be decent but It's like £300 or something stupid like that.

if you dont have rhino, get the demo here, you can save 25 times, but that should be enough to tinker with the grouping of polys so they texture the way you want in truespace.   http://www.rhino3d.com/
