Turret deployment bug during Eye of the Storm
I have a problem with the shells of the Ignatus not hitting the platforms in Eye of the Storm, which means the turrets will never be deployed. Instead they fly past the platforms and start orbiting them.

Screenshot attached of the shells missing the platforms.

o.O

Usual questions, what OS, release version, install method, etc.? I've played through that mission reasonably recently and it appeared to be fine on that front.

Win7
FS2 Open 3.7.3 12b9806
And installed BP via the installer .jar installer (IIRC)
The issue seems to be random, some of the "shells" works fine, others miss the platforms. I haven't found a way of reliably reproduce it.

It's a really unpredictable bug. It happened to me consistently for a while, and then it stopped for no reason at all.

Yeah, this has been reported before and I could never get to reproduce the problem myself...

The best course of action I can recommend is just "restart until it starts working". :blah:

Re: Turret deployment bug during Eye of the Storm
Given the amount of trouble that these have caused would it not be better to decouple the deployment logic from the effect and just spawn the turrets after a certain delay?
The good Christian should beware of mathematicians, and all those who make empty prophecies. The danger already exists that the mathematicians have made a covenant with the devil to darken the spirit and to confine man in the bonds of Hell.

I wouldn't want to completely decouple the effect/deployment. Its a cool effect and I really love the look of it (when it works anyway). What I might do is have a fail safe timer that if after however long and this thing is still in the air, then just give up and deploy.
