I've been refraining from posting in this forum, because until just recently it's been a bit of a hassle for me to work on voice acting. But now it's not. So this is me, making a thread.
Here's (http://www.rateofinjury.com/va/demoreel08.mp3) some samples. Critique's very much appreciated.

Niiiice, very nice....Wish i was a little bit older so i could do voice acting!

British accent = good voice actor no matter what.
Stupid universe.

any opinions about french accent ?
Always give me the 'high-class' impression, and sometimes snobbish too. Might be perfect for command. No offense of course.
-
French = gentleman pirate. :)
.

.
"excuse me missiour(sp?) Surrender your cargo and i wil be inclined to jet you live today."
.

That line would sound pants coming from any accent but French. Also it means you an have a cool pirate capship called "The Josephene"
Or something :)
-
I never thought of a french accent in a "gentleman" manner :blah: , does history have something to do with it ? (thinking about old noblesse)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=ByvecMlbiPg (no, this isn't an ad but this is the most recent video I remember with someone with a french accent)
for example, do you think the guy in this video sounds like a gentleman ? (impossible not to notice the french accent)
PS : the pirate capship would be "Josephine" no ? unless you want it to sound like the french name even in english
-
Fine :p you've never heard of french royalty?
French voice + space pirate seemed to make sense to me is all :-D
-
very nice, solid. Are you a Brit or an aussie? :D
-
Sounds like Blaine_Russells slightly mad younger brother :)
-
That's definitely a Brit accent. Sounds far too cultured to be an Aussie...on the other hand his site says he's in Adelaide.
-
Yeah, I'm Australian. I just have a lot of fun doing British accents - the closest to my normal voice is probably the "This is a WAR" line.
-
That's cool , I was just wondering if that was close to your natural voice or if you were just forcing it.
I wish I knew offhand if I got a RT role close to that cause I definitely would like to use you cause of your voice quality...
Heh looks like I need to rewatch/listen to the entire series again... :)
Would you mind if I wanted to hit you up for a specific part later? I could use you now as a minor OIC role, but I want to do more research on some main characters I might have missed on Macross or Mospedia...
-
Sure.
-
I think that's familiar. Have you voiced for the derelict campaign? It certainly sounds like one of the Derelict VAs.
-
French accent = Admiral with questionable knowledge of interstellar warfare.
Command: "Seven Sathanas juggernauts have set course for the Capella star. Advise all commands."
Frenchie: "You heard the man. All Fenris cruisers, form up in sphere formation around the Capella star! I want one cruiser every 500,000 square kilometers! Let one fighter through, and it's your head!"
-
  That's definitely plausible. .
-
I still think it'd be great to have Windsor Davis doing voices for briefings...
'Get'chor lazy little carcass aboard that ship right now, or I will not be an 'appy bunny! Move it! Move it!'
-
The name rings a bell. :) Who is he?

Mm, I was Mackie.

The name rings a bell. :) Who is he?
He was the Sgt Major from 'It ain't half hot, Mum', though you may remember him as the voice of Sgt Major Zero from the Terrahawks ;)

I remember "it ain't half hot mum" more than Terrahawks.. I never got into that plus i was more of a Transformers / MAsk / Thundercats / Centurions /Visionaries / Defenders of the Earth boy..
