Post by: potterman28wxcv on May 23, 2010, 05:32:10 pm
To you, what's the best ship for ia, including Loki ? (only fighters, not bombers)

It always seemed that my wingmen survived pretty well in Ulysses above some other ships.

That's purely anecdotal though.

Malformed question. Will not answer until the OP explains wtf "ia" means.

Note: The E does not speak for the OP, nor does anyone but the OP.

In Latin-derived languages, the adjective goes after the noun and "intelligence" and "artificial" are pretty much spelled almost identical in French (not sure about Spanish and Italian) to how they are in English, so "A.I." gets inverted to become "I.A.".

I've been seeing that around a lot, lately.

Assuming it means what most of us think it means: Ulysses, Loki, and Herc, not necessarily in that order. Above all, Valkyries in the hands of AI pilots shouldn't be expected to handle any kind of heavy combat.

In the original FS1 campaign, I often like to mix Ulysses and Hercs, with the idea being the Hercs are the tough-to-chew-through, high-power 'anchor', and the Ulysses keep more agile fighters from flanking the Hercs, helping everyone survive longer.

The AI seems a bit more survivable in Ulysses than in Lokis too.

I can confirm in Italian the acronym is "I.A." ("Intelligenza Artificiale") too.

I would like to say Loki, but that would be my personal preference talking.

I think it can be a pretty equal match between the Uly and the Dragon.
