Title: I'm getting married

In mere hours from now.
In a snow chapel.
In the Arctic circle.

Nervous doesn't begin to describe it. And I don't get nervous.

But thank you HLP for being there for 18 years at least for me to get my free space fix.

Fun fact: on his wedding day, my dad asked my maternal grandmother whether she knew any anagrams of MOTHER-IN-LAW.

(Then again mine was deliberately engineered for minimum cost and relative involvement.)

I'm officially and legally with wife. That sound you hear was millions of single women screaming out in denial and being silenced as one.


Wedding night in a glass igloo up a mountain. Reindeer sleigh etc. 
Ice chapel.  Wife is happy. So I'm happy.


Let's see if I can actually get back on the SCP now this marriage malarkey is all completed :)

Today did 25k on a snowmobile. Wife drove.

Turns out our guide is Finnish EOD on reserve list still after doing his national service. Top lad. Swapped a few stories around the campfire at the halfway point.


Wife had hot juice and a cookie cake thing.

I'm drinking port at this very moment.

Hey Dekker, are you in Finland? If you are, you are not very far then, I'm located in Oulu. PM me if your flights go through the Oulu airport! Might have time to hook up!

I'm on a short leash unfortunately. Wife is English and we have every waking minute planned. Tomorrow is a reindeer ride to a husky farm. Them we're doing a night horse ride looking for northern lights (although saw them on Monday already).


Any spare time is spent doing newlywed stuff ;7

Aaaw yeah

Levi is quite a popular resort for weddings, and that type of a wedding is probably not common for anybody coming below. Congratulations on selecting a good time for coming here, March is beautiful, especially if you got to see it with a snow mobile!

The Japanese say that the people getting married and couples doing the newlywed stuff under the polar lights are specifically going to be happy.

But congratulations on your wedding!
