BTW, I've seen PR when I was a child :), but now I still remembered watching Super Sentai...
Anyway, "Morphin" was censored in my country for some reason.

It's a **** movie that will probably fail to be as ****ty as DragonBall Evolution. So not a record-breaking level of ****, thus a completely unremarkable piece of ****.

I don't think so, but... could it be the next Transformers (2007)? Or the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)?
And what of the 2015 hyper-violent Power Rangers short film? Have you seen it before? Or this is nothing compared to this film?

Bonus points for using Power (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L53gjP-TtGE). Still, looks baaaad.

Haven't seen it tbh.
I'd probably place it somewhere between TMNT 2014 and Max Steel 2016.
Horrible, but not record breaking horrible.

Why does this look bad? Does the CGI, story or something matter?

I guess we just have to wait for two months from now.

I think I was never really exposed to the existence of the power rangers thing until I was maybe about 10 years old, so I've never had any nostalgia to prevent myself seeing it as being exactly as retarded as it looks and sounds. I'll posit that power rangers is possibly the dumbest of its category (transformers, captain planet, etc).

I won't let this stand! I will draw my sword right here and blast this heretic blasphemer! You should hereby know that Power Rangers was awesome and ****ing amazing!

With the exception of a few select (and amazing) episodes, MMPR largely holds up through the benefit of nostalgia. There was a path to update it for its now-adult fans, even without breaking out of the confines of a PG-13 rating, but early indications are such a path was foregone, in favor of imitating Michael Bay's rubbish work.
There is still a nugget of excitement to be found in this film, though: Brian Cranston is Zordon. I'm pretty sure that this means that MMPR (2017) isn't a superhero film, instead portraying the fever dreams of five meth-addled teenagers, who spend way too much time hanging out with their dealer.

I don't know. I've gone back and watched it a bit and it doesn't hold to me.

Based on that trailer, I'm expecting it to at least be somewhat entertaining. I definitely have my nostalgia goggles on, but even so, these sorts of movies have surprised me before. The first Transformers was remarkably good, against all odds. This might yet be too.

I fondly remember seeing the original American-produced movie in theaters when I was a little squirt. Ivan Ooze FTW!

Holy **** if this was Breaking Bad from the clients' perspective that would be probably the greatest thing ever.

I wonder how Donald Trump's presidency has affected Angel Grove.
