I like the use of shadow.

looks good, I would only sudgest useing a layered reflectence to get the lights to glow, as that always looks cool.

Your just jealous    

i cant see the thrusters, hence he hasn't shown them, unlike others (no names mentioned    ) who seem to add engine glows regardless of the camera position    

note how he hasn't fallen into Lord Lens Flare of PH's trap...  its not needed, hence he hasn't added it

I was talking to Setekh once about a massive pic (I mean about 5000x5000) kinda like the largest fleet battle you can ever imagine, but I think that kind of project would take over a month to complete properly...

Most probably the computer will explode during the rendering process.  

But really! 5000x5000 is way too extreme. Cut it down to 1024x864.
