[Space Cowboy]

I'm looking for a new drawing program, preferably free, to replace the POS I currently use to draw smilies with! The one I have currently, for those who haven't noticed, draws fine, except when I have a transparent background, there's this butt-ugly line surrounding every object! Here's what I would like for a drawing program: draws well, has the ability to make an object transparent with the option of NOT making this change gradually, ability to work with sprites and polygons, undo option, comes with a good quality GIF animator, and preferably, free! I know I saw something that would fit almost all of these preferences and more posted somewhere either on this forum or on Warpstorm, but I can't remember where...

Try PhotoImpact, you can get it from  www.ulead.com . Very good program, but will only last you 30 days.

Paint Shop Pro. Evaluation period is 60 days, and after that it's just a little registry hack to get another 60, and so on.

Hah! I use a hex editor to assign colors to a certain pixel in a certain area!

When I started making graphics, we didn't have these 'color' things.....we just had black and white, and our white was orange!

Not one you can get your hands on   It's a program called Spire, written by my brother for Linux. I'm sick of talking about it - thanks to some curious HLP staffers, Shrike and Thunder
