OK, call me a n00b, but how the shizbag do I give the coupon away?  Took me forever to find it, realized I was under "TF2" items, then that the coupon is under "Steam" items, not "Portal 2" items... so I found it, but not how to gift it??

X3N0, apparently I have to "invite to trade" on your user account in my friends list.  However, it says you were last online 19 hours ago, and, the option to invite you to trade or chat is grayed out.

Yeah, you'd both have to be online in order to make a trade, since it's an active process.  It would be nice if there was a way to make one-way offers if the other user was offline, but I guess Valve was worried about people possibly being scammed.

well they aren't going to make it EASY for you to essentially give away their money, are they?  they WANT that coupon to go unused by someone who already has it, not let someone else get it for 75% off.

Well the thing about digital distribution is that it basically doesn't cost them anything (a few cents for bandwidth, maybe) to let you download a game. So even if they sell it to you for $5, they make a profit.
