I'm trying to activate mods inside the FSO launcher, version five,I was just trying it out, so I set a folder called FS_port (like the Wiki said), and stuck all the port stuff in there, and called the launcher to activate mod:

"Mod Dictionary cnt contain space" now I tried FSport FSPORT and even FSP, I tried differant mods, and no joy.

And I stuck to swapping Vp files around?

Try the custom cmd-line "-mod [modname]", i.e. "-mod fsp" (Without "").

Okey, i'm lost, where do I manually set this cmd? the Launcher has it in a grey screen (I.E no editing), and the fs2_open_3_6.exe has non of the command lines the launcher gives, so wouldn't those negate each other?

Sorry for the newbish Q's on FSO.

See the box marked custom flags? You can enter -mod FS_Port there and it should work. However you should click on the no mod button before you do that to cancel whatever mod you have selected at the moment.

Do you have set the correct .exe at the top of the launcher?
It should look like this:

Thank you all, its working now *runs off to plays mods, remembers something*

Are there any ATI bugs besides the Shinemaps (havn't noticed, maybe i'm blind to bugs)? AA with the launcher results in blue half boxes in menu's, but its a minor issue.

Turn off the Enable 32 bit textures option or the AA to get rid of the blue lines. Personally I think the former is less of a loss.

The space in directory thing is caused by having a space somewhere in the line. for example:

I got that error when i had all my scp stuff in the following folder:

D:\The SCP\

Note the space

I changed it to D:\TheSCP\ and it worked fine. the error doesn't seem to crash or have negative effects, but it is referring to the whole path of the mod folder...

Also, don't forget, if you installed under ?:\?\Freespace 2, you'll get the same error (with the space thing). However, it still works, iirc.
