Note that we already have a very detailed Terran cockpit from the FS1 intro.

Perhaps we should have a generic fighter and bomber cockpit for each species? I mean bombers are much more chunky than fighters... it might be worth the extra effort for the effect....

Nevermind the moving...the whole dynamic lighting on them is definately cooler.

Non Transparent HUD Graphics?
A 3d cockpit can work quite well, if properly modelled and textured. 2d cockpits are actually HARDER to make. if you want details it's much easier to model than to draw.

This would be an option right? I mean if you like it the way it is now you can turn off any changes in the future correct?
Don't think of it as being outnumbered. Think of it as having a wide target selection !
