I think the title says it all: this campaign looked quite promising to me (especially after having seen the titan). ;7
-
From what I understand, it has been playtested and bugfixed for the most part if not completely. There are some final missions to FRED though.
....IIRC.
This explains what we've done so far: http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,49543.80.html (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,49543.80.html)

As you probably know, the Titan Rebellion has no ending. The final missions are, in fact, missing so the FSCRP's supposed to create them from scratch. This goes well beyond the average upgrade, and that's why progress has been halted.
We've received hints straight from the original campaign creator, but they still leave most of the job to us... :(
-
This is true: it has been a long while since anyone last posted here, however, I figured it would be somewhat stupid to start a new thread on that same subject!
As such, I was wondering, has there been progress lately on that unfinished campaign?
-
No, which actually forces me to post on the private board for a heads up. I believe the FSCRP needs some serious reorganization.
-
I suppose there are still no news regarding that promising campaign... Also, I was wondering, what was exactly the problem with the vampire craft?
-
first of all, is that the vampire we are talking about?

-
Well, I got married and Macfie has some long term contracts going on. So I am afraid there isn't much progress lately. That is indeed the Vampire; The cockpit on it is screwed up.
-
oh? congratulations!
-
Thanks. I unfortunately get very little time for Freespace these days.....
-
If you think you have little time for it now, just wait until you have kids. I hardly even get the chance to turn my home computer on more than once a week these days...
-
Anyone of the CRP that could have a look into it then?
-
would it by any means be possible to get ones hands on that last version of this campaign, that you have lingering around?
do i understand that right that the vampires cockpit issue is merely a aesthetical problem, but not a game breaking one?
-
wouldn't it be better to await it's full release?
-
not necessary, maybe i could do something about one ore two of that missing missons
and if not, no harm done
-
would be nice indeed! I'm sure admiral nelson could help you!
-
so errrm.. admiral nelson? anyone?
anyone here still in possession of that last version?
-
I am presently 7,000 miles from home. I won't be back for two weeks yet.
-
ah k, would be cool if you could have a look whether you still have the files, once you're back
happy traveling
edit: thanks to Macfie, i have started to play through the first missions...
-
i'm done playing through the campaign, although mobius has already updated it, in my humble opinion some of the missions need some definite revamp! especially the endles "fight the waves till something interesting happens" phenomena needs to go ;)
some of the missions feel boring through that, as you clearly feel that those additional waves are there only to stretch the missions.. what for i ask you? rather be it five minutes of fun an action that 10 minutes of wave killing
however, first things first, so on to freding the last 3 missions :pimp:
what the hell is the vampire for anyway? i didn't see it appear in one single mission? or is this due to mobius changes? :drevil:
-
i'm making progress on fredding the first of the missing 3 missions :)
edit: in fact the first mission is complete now! yay, my first completed freespace mission that i did from scratch, have a soda everyone *hands out some*
hope you guys will enjoy it :mad2:
-
mission 15 is done :) a mission with less action involved, something to catch breath before the ultimate finale!
on to the last one :pimp:
edit: last mission almost done, only balancing left
-
I am done with the last mission. People really will need a good computer for this one - quite demanding
On to revising the rest of the campaign then
-
nice! where does the vampire come in actually?
-
nice! where does the vampire come in actually?
at the beginning i did not want to include it at all
but freding the last mission i came to realise they were exactly the ship that i wanted for a certain task, so i included them
the last mission alone holds 3 new ships!
actually they are one of the reasons why the last mission does need a good computer, loads of ships in that mission, among them a lot of vampires appearing at the same time
edit: i'm done with revising the first 9 missions, not much left to do now
