How much bandwidth does HLP actually use on average?

Never bothered to set up such network logging, but if I had to make an educated guess based on short-term stats, I'd say all sites hosted on this server use up 4GB a day.

But that guess could be totally off. Guess I could install MRTG if we want accurate stats...

Sounds like anyone with an RHCE certification and some debian experience fits the bill - surely there are a bunch of you lurking about these forums?

At work, I have to deal with RedHat quite a bit.  It's very different from Debian/Ubuntu.  The basics may be the same, but I've found RH to have a lot of 'odd' things in it for things like where configs live and what it runs.

It's also a memory hog.  I can install a bare bones Debian on 64 megs of RAM.  I can't even install CentOS (RH with the non-GPL bits removed) on anything less than about 512 Megs.  Pathetic IMO.

Only two people stepped up to this position; rev_posix and duff.

With Zacam's recommendation, all admins are behind of rev_posix taking up the position. Last I heard he intends to take care of other matters while he is considering it further. I hope he'll accept the position. While I appreciate duff's offer for help, it's kinda awkward because there are no community veterans vouching for this unknown man.

I'm leaving duff's offer for other admins to decide, as I've resigned from admin duties effective today.

I could help with small things. I've been using Linux (Fedora) primarily for the past three years, set up a few basic servers, and would be willing to learn. Oh, and I would definitely avoid ****ing with things I don't know about.

Of course, it sounds like you guys really want a professional. If you need minor help though, I would always be more than willing.

I'll put my bill in for deputy, as well.  I dont frequent the forums but I'm a constant nuisance on IRC.  I admin my own servers (webservers, virtualization hosts, an IRC server).  I don't care for the forums too much, but if there's a lot of grunt work to be done I can be called on to pick up some slack.
