Hello,

I'd like to try out the wanderer type radar icons (which look awesome). Is there any chance of getting an OS X build from this branch to try it out or do i have to wait until it's in the trunk or other release branch ?

Also, OS X graphics have been improving in the last few months. I just wanted to make it known, but the lighting seems better than it was.

I was thinking about making this the other day but it would be nice if Wanderer would sync with trunk again, he's a bit outdated at the moment.  I was thinking about doing this locally, but I don't know how to on a Mac so I'd probably do it on Windows and then move the code over to a Mac to compile it.  I'll try to get to this within a few days though.  You'd really need an update build at least for the new MediaVPs.  If you wanted just the radar icons and retail I could make it happen a smidge sooner.

I'm going to make a build shortly, as soon as I can get his branch checked out.  It's not available yet though.  For some reason the checkout keeps halting after fs2_open-wanderer/oggvorbis/lib whenever I check it out on a Mac.  It checks out just fine on a PC though.  Really hangs up SVN too when it happens.

btw, have you guys thought about using git for version control ? We use it at work for our web development and it's been a huge improvement over svn. I was thinking with a project like this, with as many devs as there seems to be, it would be really cool for everyone to have their own repo and the much better merging/conflict resolution that it supports.

A lot of coders already have their own branch, and the change to SVN was pretty recent, so I can't imagine we'd want to change again already.  SVN seems to be working fairly well.  If we run into constant problems that git could solve it might be something we look into though.

I'm just saying, moving to git (or even another solid DVCS like mercurial) was really an eye opener for me. Of course, since you guys were torturing yourselves using CVS for so long, SVN probably seems like a happy ending, so ....
