http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-42564230I thought this was a rather interesting story. The Bronte Parsonage Museum in West Yorkshire decided to name the model Lily Cole as their creative partner this year and gave her the task of celebrating the bicentenary of Emily Bronte's birth. This apparently got some people's backs up when they decided that it was ridiculous that a supermodel was given the job.
A supermodel who graduated from Cambridge University with a double first in History of Art. And who has now pointed out the beautiful irony that the Bronte sisters themselves had to use pseudonyms because no one would take them seriously, judging that their outward appearance would mean they couldn't have the brains to be creative.
