Re: A celebration of Freespace

I had also combined it with heavy slasher beams, which also do much less damage than FS ones.
That's mainly because they have lower base damage than regular beams. :P
They're fully custom, solid blue beams.
They have base damage greatly lowered and are all set to slash, plus they have ROF and sounds of Shivan beams.
Oh, and I forgot to mention huge cannons, with ROF of Terran Turret and "Same turret cooldown" flag, which, combined with their low velocity, makes them resemble PPC cannons from X3.
Beams and torpedoes also have "same turret cooldown", which causes beams to fire neary continously.

Hopefully without the lag of PPCs. ;)

No. Trust me, torpedo battles are very feasible.

Are you referring to Temeraire vs. Abel via Eos? The last time I did that mission, the Abel selfdestructed.

Re: A celebration of Freespace
Yeah, and the Abel doesn't self-destruct, it goes down when heavily damaged just like any other ship. If you see self-destruct in the logs it's only because of the way the cutscene is set up.

Not bad, but there are serious beveling errors on that golden crescent. I think. Too many radial lines.

Rendering in a 3d app might help. Photoshop/Gimp bevels are notoriously funky

Shadow, are you going to upload your Uly mod to FSmods? That along with the Hellbats and Peterv's Ulys might make for an interesting assortment of fighters to add to mods.

This Ulysses has just a slightly different texture and new tables, compared to PeterV's original. PeterV's BadUlys are available on Sectorgame.

I might make more screens later.

I suggest removing the (s) from action(s) and condition(s) in the tech entry.
