Just watched the trailer video, and um, Hollywood pack is extremely flashy, like its name implies.

nVidia cpanel -> manage 3d settings -> program settings -> add, select the build which you want to use, Antialiasing mode: Override any application setting, and depending on the beefiness of your gpu, put it anywhere between 2x and 8xQ. 16x is useless, thanks to this being FSAA. aka, every pixel thats rendered gets antialiased. have fun.

Akshually, you want "Enhance Application Setting" or you may/will get flickering corruptions on the tail ends of the thruster trails. 8xQ, Supersampled with Gamma Correction and Transparency settings to ON are goo though. Turn off any "Optimizations".

You should also find when set to "Enhance" that AA and PostProcessing will work with each other much better.

Bloom in subspace looks really nice.

When Hery's cleaning up his bloom shader to not apply to nebular/planet backgrounds, I wonder if it would be possible to keep the effect on for subspace corridors?

it behaves as a skybox of sorts, so, to answer your question, no.

And I'm not involved in any projects.
Though I do want to see them finished so I can use them.

Apparently the Nightly from the 14th makes some interesting background errors.
Done on Sync, the conditions were the previous mission was in a blue nebula, ended with no debreifing and immediately started the next part of the mission with no Red Alert or briefing.
There is no nebula in this mission.


And to show how much of a crazy bastard I am, here's my HUD, and because a lot of people like to abuse blue nebula in their campaigns...
Oh yeah, I suppose you also noticed the white trails on the Harpoons, well I haven't figured out how to change that back considering I've already gone back to the default 3.6.10 Final Tables after using the Retail Tables to mess around with weapons.

Mostly transparent crap. Works well with some models, though.
