Err, given both ships are of equal forces, and that the blowing up ship still fires torpedoes and beam -- shouldn't both of them have exploded ?

I haven't checked the mission in question but it's possible one is either armored or is using a better AI class than the other (and so intercepts more torpedoes.)

Woolie Wool, in that first shot...... Do i see a gimballed compass thingy in the top right?

It's an attitude indicator. Blue is up. Black is down. The line in the middle indicates the horizon. It's a standard gauge on pretty much any aircraft bigger than an ultralight.

Overreaction much?

It's called a joke. The overexcessive use of punctuation and the marshmallow bit should have made it obvious enough.

Next time I'm gonna put a big neon sign on it. Then maybe I won't get banned.

Hey, I love most of your ships Tongue. Blade, Cobra, Galaxy, Colossus Mk.2... They're awesome! You're great modeller, but... In my opinion Bobb's Orion is better.

You are free to hate it. Just don't say it's bad because it's "blocky".
Incorrect statmements bug me more than any criticism.

Re: A celebration of FreeSpace
Your Orion has an adventage of having it's turrets done in a way that allows telling beams, flak guns and blobs apart.
I like ships build in such way, even if it's not FS-ish.

Re: A celebration of FreeSpace
Yeah, i really think having the flak guns looking like big blob turrets isn't a good idea...
BTW, imo, the torpedo launchers of the Raynor looks just too cool....

BANG.

I couldn't let those new BP muzzle flashes go unanswered. 360mm autocannons for great justice!

...Aren't autocannons between machine gun size and artillery shell specification?

Autocannon is a weapon with fully automatic fire capablity, firing shells instead of bullets.

Lol what

Why shouldn't they have 360mm autocannons in 150 years? It's basically a big-ass naval gun with an autoloader and futuristic, more damaging shells. It's not even that fast; it only fires 120 rpm.
