That doesn't look like FSO. The fx are definitely different from those in the MVPs, too.

Why so much bloom in your renders? Bloom should compliment the look not cover it up completely..

And what ship is that? Looks an awful lot like the Ulysses...

While crawling through the Wiki yesterday, I came across an article on the old GTCv Moscow project. Seeing that both Black Wolf and Darius had revived the project temporarily last month and some of their files were still floating around on the Internet, I decided to render something in Autodesk Maya using whatever I found. This is what I got:

As I mentioned earlier, the model and what I think is the bumpmap was from Black Wolf. I mashed that up with Darius' textures in Maya and got my result.

So, I've been testing out something a little more unusual for FSO. Interior levels, and here's my little Proof of concept of being able to go from UnrealEd to FSO. I'm well aware of what Twisted Infinities is doing, but it won't hurt if I join in. :P

Ah, so you're implying that the AI can handle that environment, albeit badly? :P

Now seriously, I can imagine such an environment for multiplayer. For anything with AI, obviously not.

Even if the speed and turn times of AI ships are changed so they could do a 180 on a dime and adjust their path before (or even after) they collide?

Or does AI just fail to see individual surfaces and tries to keep at some certain radius from a ship model's center?

It's probably something more like the latter.. AI often fails get around large objects like Installations, in my observation.
