Hey there, this is a pretty hard issue to describe or show with a screenshot, so I'm gonna do my best to explain it here.
I've just installed Freespace 2 Open on my desktop. I did everything correctly and it starts fine. However, I'm having a issue where my mouse point physically cuts off movement and refuses to go onto the bottom of the screen. The settings match my native resolution of 1920x1080, so I'm not exactly sure what the problem is.
This issue is actually blocking me from clicking on exit buttons in the main menu, so it's a bit of a annoyance. My mouse doesn't do this anywhere else on my computer, and I've installed Freespace Open before and never encountered this issue. If it helps, I do use a TV screen for my desktop, so I don't know if that is the issue or not.

This could be a DPI scaling issue, try disabling it.

At some point, we really need to figure out how to make FSO automatically negate DPI scaling...

Right-click the FSO exe, hit Properties, then click the Compatibility Settings tab, then you should find a checkbox for disabling display scaling for high DPI settings

The issue is fixed. Thanks guys, you were a great help :)

Someone should really add this to the FAQ.
Oh wait...

/me does not see this issue mentioned after searching the FAQ.
...Did I miss it?

No I meant I should probably do that and I was gonna, but then work happened. I'll get around to it at some point.

SDL2 has options for dealing with DPI scaling. I don't have a high DPI monitor so I can't test if that helps with these issues.

While I don't have a high-dpi display, I do have the next best thing, which is a GPU that can do that whole Virtual Super Resolution thing.
