After installing latest FSO and the new mediavps im having problems with the game, whenever i hit an enemy the sheild around it is completely black and the flames that come otu of ships when you hit the hulls have a black square outline. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong, it's probably something simple

Did you get the (needed) 710 patches as well?

And by needed i mean that if you arent using adveffects do not get mp-710_adveffects.vp either
