I've got quite a few PMs on HLP. It'd be nice to be able to download them for a personal backup, or in case more server space is required in the future. Is there a way to do that other than "Save Page As..."?

find one of those auto archiver or tree things for firefox and tell it to go one link deep on your pm page

since "HLP v2.0" i've probably sent/received a total of 2 dozen messages, if that...

when i open the messages page, the subjects, sender, date, etc. are listed at the top, but near the bottom it shows the CONTENT of all messages... is there any way to turn this off?

I did this about two years ago and just saved the html pages in Firefox. That's probably the most convenient way to do it.
