Does anyone know why usually if you get 30 results for a search, you are only allowed to look at the 30 it gives you, even when it's obvious there would be more than 30 results for what it was you searched for, yet occasionally, it will give you additional pages to look through? I've had as many as 7 pages in the past. But usually, you get just 1.

Forum search is finicky in that it only searches the board or sub-board you're on when you start the search.  If you're searching a smaller board, you'll get less results (obviously).

I do like using the "show results as messages" function of HLP's advanced search though, which is something it has over Google.

I just did a basic search on the root forum for "Paving the way" to look into an issue a reddit user was having and had no issues /shrug

Either you just got lucky, or it's just me who has this. Care to throw in some more searches?

EDIT: I tried your search, and I also got 2 pages, with 52 results now with this one.

EDIT 2: I tried "Freespace" and it gave me 10 pages. Then I tried "Diaspora" and it gave me 30 results, and I am absolutely confident there will be more than 30. So there's an example.

EDIT 3: "Colossus" also only gets 30 results.

Sure, if we want to attempt rewriting most of the SMF code. I'll take a look towards what is available though. No promises, but I'll look.
