How's this: the Gargant, in universe, is a ship and all, but technically, in game, it isn't a model at all. It's the background.

Any missions including it would be inside it, where you have to destroy certain subsystems several kilometers apart in an (ultimately futile?) attempt to destroy it, or at least slow it down. Meanwhile, Command tells you of what the Gargant is doing, and every other mention of its action are through the briefing or the fiction viewer.
Think that part in Star Wars VI, only BIG and without corridors.

Well, the Gargant isn't 900Km in diameter or whatever, so the Gargant ins comparison is not really BIG. :P

The Gargant trench run isn't exactly a new idea

To me, it's new. I don't think the Gargant will be used for that, though, because striking it from the inside would make it vulnerable to something, which is quite ridiculous. :drevil:

Ok, let's put it this way: there are no intentionally left holes leading to vital reactors which, if destroyed, will cause the whole ship to blow up. The Shivans are way smarter than the Galactic Empire. :)

If I remember well its engine subsystem is well inside the ship, so you can't destroy it.

It's 2 combined pre R1 SSJ Gigas models, which were the stretched Sathanas.
And yes the pof hasn't been updated in about 5 years and probably won't be.
