Re: What are you playing right now?
I'd love to play with you guys but I'm absolutely abysmal at that game. :p
It's a really great way to learn! I'd never even played WALB before, tried a couple of the tutorial missions while waiting for the next multiplayer game to start, and when it did, Battuta just dispensed constant, useful advice. When I went back and replayed the tutorial mission that was kicking my ass, I aced it. The game seems overwhelming at first, but it's really not that hard to learn.

You are a wonderful human being, as is the creator of that video.

Minaj is still an atrocity, but that's one song redeemed.

Re: What are you playing right now?
Continued experimental observation confirms that the Starship is the greatest tank ever made, the Skyhawk with Zunis is the greatest CAS aircraft ever built, MageKing has a weird gift for driving Leopard blobs into the enemy spawn, and Aesaar is a saint about his tanks getting cluster bombed.

I'm pretty sure he knows what a Starship is, I think its more to do with the fact that they typically are considered absolute pants.

The thing about WALB is that really ****ty units are still great if they're cheap and can be built in mass quantities (as the famous quote says, "quantity provides a quality all its own").

MageKing has a weird gift for driving Leopard blobs into the enemy spawn
It just kept happening on its own! I have to advance somewhere, and the best place to advance just kept being along the line of the enemy's advance towards my area, which inevitably resulted in driving right into their initial staging area. :nervous:

It worked pretty well, until the "enemy spawn" was that stupid tunnel right into Foxtrot...

Re: What are you playing right now?
The Starship is a brilliant tank for all the reasons it's not a good Tank, and the Skyhawk with Zunis is brilliant because the game thinks it's really, really easy to put new rocket pods on its wings and send it back out (this may actually be true).

IIRC it is, but rocket pods were so bad I can't see that being adequate compensation.

As for the Starship, it's saving grace is it's a missile tank. On the other hand, it has awful awful missiles.

Re: What are you playing right now?
I just turn the Shillelagh off. Really what I adore about it is that it has a main gun (bad, but it's there) and an autocannon (!) which it can fire at helicopters (!!) and on the move (!!!) which makes it an excellent, excellent cheap close-defense unit in forests, towns, and near ridgelines. For 45 points!

It's not for being a Leopard 2A4 but that's what we have Leopard 2A4s for.
