Re: Bugs/glitches in games... funny ones preferably
I was just playing Company of Heros again, and watching the insane flipping spinning guns that go flying through the air when people die, and they bounce too.

It was particularly visible on that map because it spawns enemies at preset points once you've taken most stuff, probably to keep you on your toes, but instead I park two-three tanks at each one of those points and it turns into a killing ground. Perversely, you'd get a small stack of bodies building up until one of your tanks scored a direct hit on the pile, then you get between five and ten bodies flipping into air. It's very impressive.

I also noticed that, despite being in a zero-cover area, a road, after awhile the spawning troops recieved a cover bonus despite their very exposed posistion.

The only possible thing that could have been providing them any cover was the bodies of the guys who came before.

I don't know if it is a bug, or if it's funny, but I started installing Neverwinter Nights 2 about 2 hours ago, and it's downloaded over a CD's worth of patches so far. If I actually get to play it tonight, I'll let people know what I thought of it...

I know. Mine did too. It is an awesome game, however. But I never really had patience with its levelling schematic... What are you gonna play?

I don't think you can count anything in a Bethesda game as a bug.  :p

There's a fish out of water in along the Sheogorad coast in northern Vvardenfell, that has to be a bug. :p

I have a huge collection of EVE character renderer errors, for which I have some vague plan to assemble them into a collage. :p

I also think there's one of those fish guys in that area too stuck on the land. LOL

Re: Bugs/glitches in games... funny ones preferably
The recent patch Blizzard released for Diablo II introduced a rather comedic bug: Without fail, several minutes after firing up the game my system will suddenly power off!

The first time that happened I was freaking out thinking I just had my power supply die on me, and worrying that it might have took some of my components down with it.  The best part was that despite being unequivocally off, the power LED in the front would alternate between green and yellow, and attempting to turn it back on via the power button did nothing.  In the end yanking the power cord, waiting a few seconds, and plugging it back in solved the "won't turn back on" problem.

At that point I hadn't made the connection with Diablo II, so I counted my blessings that my machine still worked, went off to do something else, and forgot about it.  Until a few days later when I tried to fire up Diablo II again.  Hello surprise shutdown!

Considering I'd originally stopped playing the game because it was making me almost incoherent with rage (due to a mishap with corpse retrieval and losing all my stuff), it's like the game wants me to stay mad at it forever.
Everything is better with monkeys.  Even pie.

That is the best first post I have ever seen.

Re: Bugs/glitches in games... funny ones preferably
My computer went through a stage of doing that with just about every game I played, problem was the graphics card overheating. Not sure what would cause it to happen with just one game though, that's a pretty nasty 'bug' if that is what it is.

In retrospect, I have seen a slight drop in compatibility between very early versions of Direct X and the most modern ones.

Stack multiple beam weapons in any stock version of EV Nova.

It's just like having one. There is literally no reason to have any more tha one in stock EV:N. This incidentally gives you an awful lot of room to play with on a Manticore, once you remove the extra 7 25-ton Ionic Projection Cannons.

EV:N's prize for both Worst Physics Violation and Most Ridiculous NPC Fit goes to the Pirate Valkyrie IV, which, when stripped down by a player, will have over 200 tons of free space in addition to its 20-tons cargohold. And the ship supposedly only masses 150 tons!

EV Nova?

I know Soulstorm has this glitch where if your air unit was on the same elevation level as its ground target, i.e if its target was on a cliff, it would use both its ground weapon and its aerial weapons on its target. Which for the SoB Lightning fighter, is quite a punch.

Once, I picked up the turtle at the beginning and tossed it at a boulder. It bounced back at me, and I died from the force of the impact.

This is surprisingly easy to do with certain objects, such as tires. I've killed myself many times while trying to stack tires on top of other people.

Didn't you know that a banana is one of the most deadly weapons in Crysis?
