How many things you have killed/demolished/vaporized/etc. in your entire gaming career?
Lemmings (nuked): 243000 (340 levels in first two games, usually 50 or 80 lemmings per level, and took me 2-20 tries to beat each level back then; averaging everything gives 243k)
Descent robots: 97000 (6-10 times through each of ≈200 levels for all three games, ≈70 bots/level, ≈2000 D3 kills online)
C&C/RA/TS units: 157000 (≈150 singleplayer missions, 6-7 times each, 100+ 8-player skirmishes, 100+ online games; each AI builds 100+ units in a skirmish)
Freespace ships: 36000 (FS1 campaign: ≈10 times, FS2 campaign: ≈25 times, ≈450 kills/playthrough, ≈8200 FS2 PXO kills, playtested 20 of my own missions 30-50 times each with ≈15 kills/mission. This easily comes out to a couple million if you count the ship crews, but I suppose that's cheating.)
Unreal and UT enemies: 415000 (five campaign playthroughs, ≈500 enemies in each one, ≈2000 bot kills, ≈410k online kills)
Deus Ex enemies: 10000 (≈15 DX1 and 4 DX2 playthroughs, ≈500 enemies/playthrough)
Old stuff: 100000 (includes Crystal Quest, space invader clones and many other Mac arcade-type games that I spent years with; 100k is probably realistic given how easy it is to rack up kills in these types of games)
Other games: 50000 (Doom games, Jazz Jackrabbit games, Battlezone games, Jedi Knight games, System Shock 2, MOH, Freelancer, Far Cry and a lot of other crap I can't remember; played each one at least twice)
So that comes out to a little over 1.1 million. :D This stuff was copied from a similar topic on another forum last week.

I have absolutely no idea as to how many enemies I've killed. It never occurred to me to keep track, and all my old pilot files for FS are dead and gone due to computer upgrades.
But this thread prompted an interesting thought: how big would the number be if you factored in capital ship crews?
-
I don't keep track of my exceedingly numerous Battlefront II kills so I couldn't tell you, but total, in the ballpark of 1,000,000,000,000....

:jaw: scary big
-
I've lost count. ;7
-
if you talk like that crews of ships and pilots. added all kills. ive calculated it with my pilot status.
then its 2,348,812,437 kills
-
I've never stoped to count, I'm still just holding down the trigger. :D But a good guess would be in the billions, I mean it.
-
somewhere between 1 and graham's number?

You have WAY too much time on your hands!!
-
all gathered up in spare time, you would be suprised how quickly time comes out of nowhere with my resourcefulness. usually most people would have about 4 hours at most before they hit the bed, i can usually multitask and save 3 hours in the process.
Edit: example; im working on my racing league, doing calculations, eating and on the phone at the same time. so leaves alot of time for games and stuff like this.

If I may quote Republic Commando:
"Damn, I can't believe it!" - Sev
"What's wrong Sev?" - Scorch
"I just lost count of my kills!" - Sev
Me + counting my kills = Sev

Let's just post numbers here, not how "leety-mc'leet" you are.
As for me, I've deleted and recreated my pilot so many times in FS1/2 that I couldn't tell you, but I've been playing it since the FS1 demo was released. I've been gaming on the PC since '96, so I'd say quite a bit. I'm not one to really keep track, because it really serves no real purpose for me.
-
See if you can get some rough estimates like I did. The only thing I keep track of is about how many times I've played through a game.
Command & Conquer Red Alert 2: 891 times, 741,500 kills
What exactly is the "times" referring to there? :wtf:
-
I never kept count of my kills. I'm too lazy to do that :P
And I started playing videogames when I was 4, how could I have thought of keeping counts of my kills?
BTW, my first flight simulators didn't kept count of the kills
-
ha an attack because you think im lieing. well il tell you thre truth. ive been on a pc since iwas 2 years old. the dragon tv cassette player, 1994 got my first pc + games: commander keen 1, Corridor 7, Bodycount. ever since then ive been putting down the number of kills. so i know how much ive done and have not done.
come on then, tell me.. how many OVERALL kills you done?. this is going to be a laugh..
-
I don't see anyone attacking you.
And honestly I think you're the only one who cares/keeps that much of an in-depth count of your kills :p - except CP, because he's a math nut :p
Seriously though, I never keep track of my kills, it's pointless. The only time I did was when I was flying IL-2 Sturmovik online, and painted them on the side of my aircraft.
-
you remember su-25?.
im passionate about my work ive done. and when someone comes along and says it lie through his teeth then i take it like an attack.

My old CAD lecturer developed the Dragon.... was it actually any good?

1d graphics, ive played on it 5 times from what i remember its good, for my young feeble mind.
also it was apain to setup.
sorry couldnt give you anymore info aldo.

I'm sorry... I didn't intend to attack anybody. :)
And I don't know my overall kills... never counted them...
-
Never bothered to count. Off the top of my head, though, here's what I know.
FS2
Main Campaign: five playthroughs average four hundred fifty kills per. Derelict three playthroughs average two hundred kills per. FS1/FSPort six playthroughs average four hundred kills per.
Falcon 3.0
3500 over three years of on-again-off-again playing.
Everything else: OHMYGODSOMETHINGREALLYREALLYHUGE

Ok, honestly, I doubt you have stacks and stacks of notebooks documenting your kills.
I just checked my pilot file which I used to run through Derelict SCP and FS2 retail, and I have 800+ kills..... and 8 friendly kills.... :nervous:
-
no its all on one old personal organiser, its limit is 780kb big but its kept everything on that. i also have a diary about each day i kill units (including friendlies) as backup.
so you know ive killed in everygame 673 friendlies, either by accident or they run or get in my way when im firing any weapon.
-
Who cares?
My total kill count = bigger than your E-penis. I win.
*smites*
-
e-penis?.
-
e-penis?.
Any form of large 'internet' number which is used for meaningless 'I'm the best' type comparison akin to willy-waving. Postcount being the most famous (probably) example, others being things like Xbox Achievements, hi-scores, etc.

ooookkkkkaaayyyy.... :doubt:.
im only putting down WHAT I HAVE not to be the damn best, i dont want to be the best. **** that id rather be me so dont get ideas :).

Hmmm, does this include how many I killed by going no clip in SW:JK2, flying up and spawning jans and watching each one splatter on the ground until I had a big pile? :p

Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly comin' to a middle.

That certainly counts (no worse than my Lemming kills :D). In fact, I used to do very similar things in Deus Ex, spawning scores of MIBs on the intro screen and watching the resulting 1fps-inducing explosion. :D I wish the second game had a spawn command, as there is a lot more scope for goofing around with this stuff in that.
-
In FS1 and FS2, I was never able to keep them on my hard drive long enough to get any kills higher than 4,000 each. Woot for ****ty hard drives.

My problem too, if you replace "them on my hard drive" with "my poilts from being corrupted".

it never occured to me to even begin to keep count, there are at least a few tens of thousands of lemmings from when I thought the sound of nuking them was soothing......
I really do not know, it is easily in the millions total, billions I don't know about, I know how much a billion is and even though I know how much video game carnage I have wrought I doubt I have wrought that much, even with homebrew maps and modded weapons and cheat codes and all of it, billions is huge, definitly people who have, I just don't think I'm one of them.... of course, I had 2000 hours on GW in a year of play, so there we go, I might be one of those people
edit: and we might want to look at the other aspect, the higher your age:kill ratio the more nerd\geek one may be, the lack of life required to accrue such ridiculous counts can be... restrictive
-
Let me put it this way. There isnt a high enough number to calculate the total number of kills i've clocked up.
To put it in a way......
it'd go well into the billions.
I sh!t you not.
