AI all die after dogfight missions start

I've been wanting to skirmish with the AI on the multiplayer dogfight maps. However, the second I launch the game, all the AI ships die simultaneously. Is there any way to fix this?

This is a feature, since dogfights are made for human vs human. To fight the AI, I recommend a gauntlet mission in singleplayer or team-vs-team in multi.
