MCO Day of Heroes crash:

Noticed that the load screen didn't work right.  Did not save after Killkrankie I believe is the name.  Was on the escape from starport mission.  Running a Kitfox with active probe, 4x CLRM's, and 1x CERLL.  Nova Cat in more-or-less "G" config (since no APG's swapped for a single CPL).  A Warhawk in close to "Prime" config.  A Timberwolf in close to "Prime" config.  An Annihilator closely configured to a Dire Wolf "A" (don't really have many CSSRM6's, so used 6xCSSRM packs).  A Summoner and a second Nova Cat.
 
Can't even make it to the space port before it crashes and burns.

 
Update:

Well I was able to keep the game stable enough to get to part of the starport.  Still keeps crashing. 
 
At one point when I reloaded, I wound up with two different 'mechs being piloted by the same character.
 
Very frustrating.  This looks/feels like it could be so much.  Yet, it's less stable than a Bethesda and a Blizzard release combined :/
 
I wish I knew how to help, but I don't know squat about programming.

 
Downloaded MCO a few days ago from moddb. No crashes in the Carver V official campaign except the expected crash after the final mission, which I see is a known issue because of the lack of cinematics. The only realistic issues I saw:
The out of mission menus being shifted right to the point of being unusable at my default desktop resolution, which I see was already reported (my desktop is 1680x1050), I switched my desktop to 1366x768 and had no menu problems.
If you scrolled down in the mission description window on the pre-mission briefing, it would reset to the top, making it essentially impossible to read the full mission briefing.

I also saw you could set the game's resolution higher than the desktop's resolution in the game configuration menu, which would cause an immediate crash.

 
I have downloaded both ver240 and the rar file.  Still is not fixed.  I still get the wrong number of buttons error with every start.  Still running Xp sp 3.  I am running 1024x768 and have played with the files in the rar-fix as well.  Any ideas?  I know this is a WIP, so I just keep re-installing 156 and blowin stuff up! 

 
For anyone else that is having trouble on mission 3 of Exodus due to the LRM range increases start game by pausing as soon as the map loads then salvage hunchback then have it move to the way point, after that the convoy will move out so it will be out of range of the Timber Wolf LRms but not the other clan that is coming in so to avoid the last vehicle from getting hit park your hunchback by the convoy while it is leaving the base, right beside the last vehicle that leaves so your hunch back will take the LRM fire but not the final vehicle, after the Ambulance makes it down the ramp have your hunchback rejoin your other mech while the clanners rip each other apart and meanwhile you got 3 mechs to deal with, a enemy hunchback, either a fire ant or firestarter forget which and a fire moth or something like it, you can salvage the timber wolf here thanks to the current variant but its risky, i ended up getting it and my Twitch currently has over 85 mech kills in that thing with the following config, 2 HLL, 2 HL, 6 clan LRMs, and i specialized him for that mech as well so Laser Specialist, LRM Specialist, Medium Range Specialist and Heavy mech Specialist. Hats off to magic for the exodus campaign.

 
Found a potential game breaker in MCO specifically regarding Exodus campaign, i have found that you can get ahold of certain mechs from other saves when you sell them in that save and then exit the game and load the MCO back up then click load then click cancel you get loaded into Exodus with a larger list of mechs to buy and also say if you sold a timber wolf in the other save it will show up here, dont know if this is known or not but there ya have it.

 
idk if this is a bug, but the game looks like that , but when I enter the game, this happens, My monitor is a 1280x720, I tried almost all tweaks that are posted here but no luck, can someone please help, I attached the image here

This is version .240, right?
Looks a bit different (UI-wise), bug(s) aside.

That is strange, the UI does not look like 240, there is a new version approaching release which had some more UI changes (refinements as apposed to wholesale changes), once that version is out please test it and let us know if you have the same problems still

 
Yes sir, that is a version 240, the gameplay is smooth, no lags, force close, etc... its just those misplaced UI's

I'm really glad that someone made a mod for this, I played this game way back in 2004(a bit late actually), and it got me hooked, and I became a fan of the Battletech series, Thanks to all of you guys for making the mod, I stumbled on this mod when I was looking at the mektek mod.

 I'll patiently wait for the update on the omnitech mod then, and test it out,

hey guys, the problem with the UI has been fixed, I think it had to do with the resolutions, idk, I just followed an instruction where you will tweak a .cfg file and changing the resolution, and it worked, Im playing through t ;)he campaign, and all I can say is WOW, it's hard, and I love it!!! thank you for the mod, two thumbs up!!! Let me see if some of my friends who are into RTS will play

Day of Heroes still crashes and burns at the Nova Space Port mission.

Reinstalled MCO, and still having issues.  Did get new mech options.

Running: 1x Kit Fox; 1x Timberwolf skin; 1x Mad Cat skin; 1x Guardian; 2x Warhawks; and picked up 1x Summoner and 1x Dire Wolf.

Day of Heroes is a third party campaign. It is very old. First its brains and mission files are converted to be compatible with MCO. Later, its terrain had to be converted to be compatible with MCO.

The crush was caused by some walls, buildings, 2 unlinked sensor controls and 1 unlinked turret. All were assigned to non existing team 8. Teams were ignored in MC2, any team other then 1 and 3 was an enemy. I made them alive, ever turret control and captureable  building can be captured and aligned to any opposing team. For example you could have 7 opposing teams in MC2 but only 2 sides: player and enemy, for buildings, turrets... If you have team 4 and 5 fighting over one turret control and team 4 captures it, its side will be enemy and will fire on both team 4 and team 5...

Mission fixed, DOH installer will be updated and posted tomorrow.

In MCO if team 4 captures turret control its side will be aligned to team 4 and will fire on all other enemy teams.

Only Exodus, MW2 mercs and Carver V (modified version) are fully tested and supported.

Please do not judge MCO by those third party campaigns.

Yes, it crushes because it is the last mission. MW2 mercs campaign is not finished, I am working on it (slowly). There is one more mission (Wolcot) added in new release.

That bug is fixed, as well as wrong number of control buttons and will be in the new release, very soon.

 
Hello, good day to all, I would like to ask, is the Oberon mission the last mission for the last campaign? I just finished it and an error occured, is it the same in the Exodus campaign where an error occurs at the end? thanks

Yes Oberon is currently the last mission. It was written somewhere that a next mission will come in the next release.

playing this game again sure brings me back, really, I surely appreciate the mod, if there will ever be a multiplayer for the mod, I'll patiently wait for it
