Prologue mission bug
On the second prologue mission, where you escort the freighter Aurora, I think I must have missed one of the demons because the freighter exploded pretty quick. My wingmen didn't say anything about its loss, and once we were done killing the pirate fighters in the immediate area I could not autopilot. Off in the distance, perhaps 50k away, was another group of pirate fighters, just sitting there. I afterburned over to them, and they just sat there.

I replayed the mission and killed the demons, and didn't have a problem. I should probably see if I can repeat the mission and let the Aurora die, but I think I'll play a few missions first.

By the way, I'm really loving the destroyable containers on the freighter. It really adds something to the experience to see how much damage it took.

I had the same issue.  Worked fine the second time through when I kept the freighter alive.

We are working on it. Thanks for bringing this one to our attention.

Re: Prologue mission bug
I noticed that in the last prologue mission everyone was flying upside down in two of the autopilot sequences.
No clue if this is reproducable though.

I'm pretty sure they weren't. The camera is below them.

Re: Prologue mission bug
Well, maybe I hallucinate. But I could swear they were upside down.
Whatever, in space it doesn't matter anyway^^

Re: Prologue mission bug
OK, since we're talking about it, there's way too many Demons on that mission. There are two 4-fighter flights, and they clobber the Aurora in no time (no suprise, really. If you tried this in the original, you'd most likely get a similar result). The Arrow isn't much in terms of the firepower either.

You have enough missiles to take them out quickly.

Yes, but it's hit and miss. Sometimes they evade too quickly. It's just too dependent of luck.

Re: Prologue mission bug
Tolwyn, related bug:  The whole "Fail" path seems to be a bit buggy, not only is there that fighter far away who just sits around, he also does not get killed when you auto-pilot back to the Wellington and there is no dialoge or "land" message triggered.

(I also recommend to half the number of pirate fighters. SERIOUSLY  :)  It is mission 2)

As mentioned above we fixed it.

No, it is perfectly doable.

Doable? Yes.
Easy, like an early mission of the tutorial campaign? No.

I think it took me a couple of attempts, no biggie.  the one where you are taking on the frigate was much harder for me but then i prefer agile fighters to tanks

Exactly. I played this game a few years too :-)  But its far too difficult for mission 2! Especially since for example mission 3 and 4 are a lot easier!
Also, there a some oversights regarding the whole new tutorial, it simply needs more training messages. "Arm the torpedo" -> tell the player who to do that and that the torpedo is called Lance. "Arm full guns" -> tell the player how to do that. And so on...
I know this wasn't top priority for you and the end product is really well done but some taking some criticism is inevitable.

Actually I think it has become much easier.
In the first prologue release I was killed within seconds because of rockets, now it wasn't a problem at all.

btw: Keldor, you were right, I wasn't flying upside down, I was looking at the bottom of the carrier but didn't realize it because the Yorktown is very symmetrical^^
