AI maximum targeting range?


Hello everyone,
I'm playing with FRED and tables, was looking into a more "realistic" way to play with weapon range (aka 10+km), however I noticed AI with turret default behaviour seems to have trouble engaging above 6km.

Is there any hard-coded AI limit or is it something I can alter via some table manipulation?

Could I see the table of the weapon? I whipped up a 15km weapon on retail without too much trouble just by increasing velocity and lifetime.

I solved it, thank you for you reply.
Basically, Orion default turret FOV was limiting the big turrets from targeting anything at exactly the same level, no matter size or range (that includes huge targets such as the Sathanas!).
