Most people here like to complain about the forum search. So I thought I'll try to make a better one.
It hasn't indexed all of HLP yet but it should find most stuff.
Anyway, try it out. (https://hlp-search.tproxy.de)
Disclaimer: I didn't write this. I just took an open source search engine and set it up.

Perhaps it was the server change?

Looks like the crawler didn't run and the server eventually removed the stale (outdated) content. I'll see if I can fix it.

I think one major issue is that the built-in forum has been the only option for searching content protected by the ACL. And I tend to default to the built in one instead of google because I often can't even remember if what I wanted was from a public or private SCP, FotG, etc thread.

Yeah except that one's not working right now either... so there's currently no way to search the forum.

I noticed that like 2 days ago and just assumed it was something in-progress... Oops. :nervous:

Turns out that was a bug in SMF (https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=553979.0) that worked in PHP5 but not in PHP7. It should work now.
All of the functionality on the forums should work, so if you see anything that should be working but isn't (like the search or the [size] tag) please report it.
