"acceptable losses" no event trigger?
Hello all,

first post here so i'll introduce myself for a bit. I go by the name of Calzar and have discovered FS2 little over a month ago. Pretty much hooked. Finished the main campaign and working my way through the several mods now. Although this doesn't always go succesfull with crashes and bugs, i usually get round to finish a mission.

Now though i'm kinda stuck. Playing Derelict , mission Acceptable losses.
One has to disable gold wing.
Destroy green wing.
Did that both. The shivan fighters who jumped in and attacked the benedict i left alone, as ordered.

and then other wings are supposed to jump in which you'd have to kill and a freighter is supposed to jump in to escort the Atlantica back.

So i tried different combinations, like just disabling the green wing. Disabling/killing the shivans. But nothing happens.

Been browsing the forums but nothing really helpfull there.

I've used Turey's latest installer and play with 3.6.10, launcher 5.5


Does anyone have an idea why the next event isn't triggered?

Hmm. I've succesfully played through that mission several times just by following the given orders. But then again, I've only played Derelict with 3.6.9.

If no solution is found, you can always use the old fail-five-times-in-a-row method to proceed to the next mission.

tried that already, to no avail.
Tried it with 3.6.9 with the -tga feature on, still nothing

also tried to look into the vp file but i don't know what mission it is so i'm not sure what the trigger for the event is....

FIXED!!! :D

okay, i cheated a bit, but did some more snooping around and finally found the correct mission file after extracting it with vp viewer.

saw in FRED that the benedict is supposed to be destroyed, but since the shivan fighters don't have enough time to do that before it departes i just set the delay to depart to max. Also send the benedict in in a crippled state to make it's destruction easier. So that worked...

(now problems with mission after that, but i'll get round to that i suppose)
