Some work from the past week. I'm trying to put together a portfolio/ build some skills, but it'd very tempting to just do nothing. I get to work in the morning and and can't choose between reading a book, playing SC2, fiddling around with various 3d programs, drawing, doing nothing listening to music, watching a movie. Somehow drawing seems to filter down to the bottom. So anyways:
This is a concept for something I want to make, possibly my first foray into zbrush. His heads not small, the armour is just big. It was inspired by marines from warhammer and starcraft both. Their bodies couldn't possibly wear that armour without being seriously deformed (ie widely spaced arms, legs that are really long) So I figured, hey, why not just stick the wearer in the torso. The final effect is rather bizarre, which is nice.
And this one is just from a blurry photo I took. The lighting was cool, so I drew it.
