Hello!

Thanks to a wonderful member here, I was pointed to the location where to download S:AH. Now, however, I'm encountering an error.

I'm running SCP, INFR1 with the patch. I placed the S:AH files and the table updates for SCP from Hades Combine in the INFR1 folder because that's the only place I could get it to work in.

Now my problem seems to be with the Majesty... When I start up the mission where I defend the Pluto Styx from Neptune assault, I complete it successfully. The next mission gives me a crash to desktop with this error:

Error: Invalid ship class name.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I gave up after 2 months of trying to get S:AH to work.
Could we with ink the ocean fill, and were the skies of parchment made
Were every stalk on earth a quill, and every man a scribe by trade
To write the love of God above, would drain the ocean dry
Nor could the scroll contain the whole, though stretched from sky to sky!

Two things:

  • You need to put the S:AH files in a separate subfolder and use 'mod.ini' to point to Inferno and your Mediavps (or whatever you call yours) folder. (Well, you don't need to, but it'll make it easier if you want to play 'vanilla' Inferno, and it's tider.)
  • You are getting the error with the Majesty because with the S:AH table updates, it includes ALL the Inferno ships AND the S:AH ships. This adds up to over the 135 (Is that right?) limit for ships, and the Majesty is over that limit AFAIK. That would cause these errors. To use S:AH with the table updates, you need to download one of the Inferno SCP builds that allow over 135 ships. Otherwise, you need to dispense with the updated tables and fix the original S:AH tables yourself.

Ok, since I'm a total newbie when it comes to fixing the tables, where would I go to grab a build of INF SCP?

The Recent Builds subforum of the Source Code Project.

But I'll save you the trouble. This is the most recent (and stable) Inferno build.

Just tell the Launcher to use it rather than your normal FSOpen when playing S:AH.

Thank you so much ssmit132 and Dark Hunter. S:AH is running beautifully now.

Re: Sol: A History Error
You assume correctly lol.  I may have to give those two another shot, though.
