Title: When are we gonna have all the files for freespace open in one place?

The Media VPs are just that. They're updated periodically with all the new and upgraded stuff.

Cool thanks ;). Is there anywhere I can get the SCP pack that is a regular download and not a torrent though? Just wondering, for the sake of convenience is all.

Yes, but then it's not all in one place  ;)  I think the reason it's a torrent is because it's so big.  But hey, leave it on for a few days and nights.

If you want to go ahead and get the files from multiple places, Karajorma's FAQ of Installing FS2_Open (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/karajorma/FAQ/installingfs2_open.html) will tell you just about all you need to know.  And then follow the instructions on the very first page of the MediaVP 3.6.8 Delta thread (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,37272.0.html), and then get a CVS build (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,34852.0.html).  But really, until you get used to exploring and modifying your Freespace 2 folder, not to mention tracking down all these files, I'd stick with the torrent.

Thanks thats what I was looking for :-D. BTW good work so far guys, This game was already one of the best out there and now yall are bringing it up to modern standards.
