Since things fizzled, Halo 3, Halo Wars, and Halo: Reach has been released. While I'm up on the story and such I realize that a few of the vessels shown in those games need to be modeled and added to FS2H. The following outlines the proposed additions:
- UNSC Colony Ship and wartime retrofit (i.e. Spirit of Fire from Halo Wars)
- UNSC Destroyer variant (Halo Wars)
- UNSC "Sabre" fightercraft (from Reach)
- Various UNSC space installations (shown in - you guessed it - Reach)
- Covenant Corvette (also from Reach)
Their installations looked way better than most of mine and they had a much better/fitting style to them that made them in line with other UNSC architecture. Additionally, I have no plans on adding The Ark, but that reminds me that I never got around to modeling High Charity. Also, I was unable to recover my Covenant Phantom model - it was corrupted :(
If there are others I missed it is probably because they see little to no usage at all, but I'm pretty sure I covered them all between my existing models and the ones I've listed above.
Work continues.

The Ark from Halo 3 I assume...

Indeed. The Ark from Halo 3:

Oh boy! that's a biggie!

The Holy Grail of size reference was made years ago by a dedicated team over on HBO.

The charts cover everything that as canon before Halo Wars and Reach.

does combat actually take place near the ark? if so, the engine could handle it as a pseudo-planetary mission...
-
If I used the Ark it would be as a background only. No sense in modeling it if there is no interaction with it. It would be like a planet or nebula, just kind of hanging out in the background.
-
Yes, of course! But I meant should a mission take place near the surface: planetary missions have evolved a great deal in the SCP...
