Loot is ultimately ridiculously hit or miss no matter what you do, there's just too much variety that could drop, and if you want to outfit your ship with a unitary battery and modules that fit your rank and weren't stuffed in to fill a slot, prepare to explore your ass off and craft stuff to do so.

There's always the exchange, trade energy credits for weapons, consoles, and other items. I sure as hell didn't find my weapons for my Admiral in a mission.

The Crystalline Entity is literally the most powerful space-based opponent in the game. Harder than any of the STFs, the ISS Stadi, anything. Failure is pretty much the norm there.

That's because when it gets down to 33% it releases "large crystal shards" which regenerate it if you destroy them, people choose to ignore this fact...  Someone said kinetic weapons regenerate it too.

I sure as hell do.  Personally, I'd vote for weapons and consoles we can use to help out the people in the fleet that aren't of a level to go Borg hunting yet.

Oh, and does anyone know how much it costs to add a repository in the fleet bank?  We may want to consider doing that.

The second repository for the fleet bank costs 1,223,000 ECs.  I've already personally contributed 800,000 toward that, but we need a couple hundred thousand more to get to it.

As soon as I can get in the fleet, I'll throw in a few hundred k.

Also, you can get every type of standard (not large) battery for 200ec at any ship requisition station that sells consumables. And you can get engine and auxiliary batteries for 40~100ec each on the exchange.

As to crafting, I would recommend checking the exchange for the high tier weapon/thing you want versus how many uncommon unreplecatable materials it costs. I found while leveling that the cost of materials sometimes ended up being higher than the cost of just buying the Mk XI Very Rare weapons.
