Indeed! I suspect this'll be moved shortly. In the meantime, I'll say that Apollo-chan is very cute! Can you link to the artist? The one I found by that name on Twitter, doesn't seem to be the right one.

Oh and before i forget this was made by Strygon from the forums who also made Cloak and Dagger and contributed lots of artwork for Dimensional Eclipse and WOD. I gave him the commission to design my all new GTC Cerberus class Advanced Light Cruiser and make her into something amazing.

there's a trend inspired by japan's kantai collection called 'shipgirls'. these are that trend but freespace. it's just anime things, you can clearly see the ass engine of the apollo. idk what the GTC cerberus looks like though

Is this some weird sexual thing? I hate it when people put too much of that stuff in Freespace projects. Like WoD: the gameplay, plot, and music are great, but the sexual stuff is just irritating.

By itself its nothing inherently sexual, but rather can be made sexual, which so far iirc only happened waaaaay long ago a few times, and usually only for humorous purposes.

If thats the case then dont play it if you dont like it, but the rest of us that do enjoy this content will continue to keep making more for others to enjoy. I made this thread for others to post art that was INSPIRED by Freespace but you dont seem to understand that concept very good, and as Strygon put it this is for humorous purposes and to display our love for the game. I agree the Orion artwork is good but theres more to it than that, If you dont understand art then you dont so please dont ruin what the rest of us enjoy

to be honest, I am kinda astonished how long it took for people to make horny art for FS.
And yeah, while it may not be everyone's cup of tea, it's still cool. So keep making it.

Well, as someone who prefer the much more intense gameplay from Dimensional Eclipse.. i would say that the 18+ stuff was the best in WoD :lol:

As an asexual male, it's hard enough to browse the internet without seeing all of this sexual stuff everywhere. I like Freespace because it's a cool game about spaceships blowing up, so I really don't see why you have to corrupt it like that.

"Corruption" is a very harsh way of putting my (and other people's) hard work, y'know. Besides, I haven't seen any overtly sexual stuff directly related to FS2, and calling anime girls as always sexual is a bit of a stretch.
Also, I thought the 18+ Content in WoD was optional?

I'll also say that when I play a mod like WoD or DE I know in advance what I'm getting into so I try not to complain, I was just a bit annoyed that in an innocuously titled thread like this there was nothing but that kind of stuff. Probably an overreaction on my part, to be fair. But I hope you can at least understand where I'm coming from.

Well from what i can see you are doing a fine job of "ignoring it". You must also remember that fans have their way of showing their love and appreciation towards any franchise, hell even Volition themselves even are amazed of what the community has done and are honored that the fans are continuing to push this franchise to new limits all the time. So in regards to fanservice stuff you can even say that the mods and Knossos is the fans way of servicing their community and basically saying that all is welcome here.
