Get with the times, bro...

Paint.net is not a bad program, but as its name implies, it's like a better version of Paint in many regards. Again, it's not bad, but it will not replace the high-level features that GIMP is capable of producing. If you have to spend time with one, choose GIMP. I've played with both, and GIMP is a superior long-term solution to artistic works.

Only because it has more built-in plugins than Paint.net initially

About the only thing GIMP has over Paint.net is that it's cross-platform (whereas Paint.net is Windows machines only, unless you use an emulator like WINE)

I might just stop watching the olympics.  NBC's reporters are irritating as all hell.  For ****'s sake, get off the athletes' nuts.  They can't even breath yet, and you're giving them **** about their run and repeatedly asking them questions they clearly don't want or have an answer to.  And I get that other networks are going to spoil NBC's tape delayed events, but I've now seen them do it to themselves.  "Tomorrow we'll show you footage of Missy whateverherlastnameis with her parents after winning the gold," 20 minutes before they showed the race.  Dumbasses.

No, not at all.  He'd started getting really lethargic over the past week, and his belly was all swollen up.  The underlying cause was probably cancer that caused an infection, so there wasn't anything they could do for him.

That does sound horrible. Plus, we had no idea what was wrong with him, so I wouldn't just declare him dead when it could have possibly been something treatable with medication.  The cost wasn't all that bad, either...I spend twice as much to see a doctor for five minutes to get a prescription renewed.
