The bottom two hangers are designed for the Liberators (and can serve pretty much anything else). If you look at the Enterprise class the two side hangers do the same, kinda like the old Confederation class's raising hanger. I'll try and move the launch tubes further into the body, luckily it won't affect the uvmapping i'm doing.

I had to some cheating with it. The base texture tiling will be half the normal size so I could reduce the number of textures by a 4th. I was up to 15 something just for the main hull.. now I'm down to about 6 (possibly 5 if I'm lukcy)
I'll warn you, big large flat surfaces, while easy to uvmap, are horrible when it comes to texture efficiency.

I love it, though upon closer inspection I found it's a flying target.

4 medium cannons, no stormfires, no missile launchers... Quite a departure from your previous designs, but in line with the Midway-class.
I guess that now it's time for F-4 knockoff (Mithras), then the Monolith. I'm looking forward to that.

Also if you want more firepower, I can always add missiles and stormfires, I'll just have to add them aligned with the bathroom tile texture.

Not needed, as I mentioned, Midway always was a flying target. It's fine, it wasn't supposed to go into direct combat anyway.

Ya, that's my thoughts too, also 40+ turrets firing makes it a rather difficult bullseye to hit.

As for the monolith, it's getting a major work over

Opps I kinda got the next two switched around... anyways Monolith

There will be four types of cargo containers, fighter transport, fuel, supplies and civil/medical. Each one will be a seperate ship that docks with the monolith so you can mix and match as needed (the medical one will need all three slots (it's one big model with two hanger bays for medical shuttles..etc)
