Herkie's response to difficulty/balance issues
I got another message from Herkie recently on FB:

"I admit it is a bit difficult than AF because now it requires strategy and players have to rethink how they fight. But that is the very concept. Well, players are used to the old FS2, now they have to adapt
By the way, forget using trebuchets in the TBG universe. They are considered obsolete at this point in time, although they are still available. They are ineffective against 3rd gen assets."
----------------------------

So unfortunately it doesn't look like he wants to change the difficulty or rebalance enemy fighters.  We "have to adapt".  I told Herkie it's his choice and right to create the kind of campaign he wants but this may dissuade people from enjoying TBG (and based on comments here I'm going to assume most of those said people liked AF1/Reboot).

Sorry everyone.

It looks like Herkie wants TBG to have a different feel than AF1/Reboot.

A slightly different feel. Because it is easier now with the new tweaks. It felt almost like AF when I tested it. I say "almost" because it requires strategy this time.
