Redid the mission with the per-pixel shaders (and infinitely more lag). A mistake of mine led to the previous shots using the old crappy lighting system.

May be more lag, but SOOO much more pretty.

I love those.

FEEL THE ETERNAL WRATH OF THE GIGAS!!!

With the rapid increase of FS fan-made campaigns, we're giving the GTVA a harder time with more violence and genocide.

I'd like to know how you got so many UEF in there at once without buggering up your system. Mine nearly crashes whenever a single UED Solaris shows up.
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

I've finally aquired some incentive to post screens. :D

A simple gloryshot of the Stheno, beastly bomber she is.

I'll be making more screens with Athenas any chance I can get, excuse the darkness but I DON'T CARE THE ATHENA IS FINALLY FIXED AND LOOKS SEXY AS HELL.

Those are the Subspace rifts at the final stages of closing down, the Ulysses wing is what came out of them.

I ****ing love flying in the trench of this thing, spent a good bit of time gawking at the model which was done for some time but for it to finally be in-game for everyone... Hell. Yes.

Of course it's getting shot to hell. The fighterbay is also fun to fly into as well.

The Hades is going down...

The first explosions.

Epic debris is epic.

Brighter shot of the Hades.

The SSL on top of the dish.

One of the engine pod's Shivan Turrets.

This is the ASW Subspace effect, said it before I like it a lot more than the Retail-style effect. Typhon is sexy.

Luckily I got the shot before the beam was too small to be worth keeping.

You all know what happens next...

Love the debris on the Typhon as well.

This was actually some time before the ST:R shots were taken.
They're excecuting Plan B.

That's an unholy amount of jump nodes and mix of burning backgrounds for a icy ship.

1. That Vexor looks freaking awesome.
2. There's only one jump (Starlance) node in that screenshot.

Oh man, that is awesome. Looks like a Medusa 2.0, would fit right in with the War in Heaven GTVA ship style.

Re: A celebration of Freespace
Up until you discover that it's...
A. 50 meters in length.
B. Has a three-man crew.
C. Houses ten primary gunports and four turrets.
D. Has four secondary banks.
and E. Has shields / armor so thick that it eats point-defense weapons like candy and comes back for seconds.

An Assault Bomber in every sense of the word. :)

However had it been smaller and without the ventral missile pod it would indeed look like a Second Generation Medusa which would also be pretty freaking sweet.

Re: A celebration of Freespace
Hints have been dropped that bombers in the BP canon had to either get smaller and faster or MUCH bigger to remain effective.

This one is sure as hell MUCH bigger.

also, battuta.

Scale it down to 30 or so (Medusa is around 30, right?), give it 4 gunpoints and 2 turrets, drop the pod. Done, sweet ass Medusa II. :)

On a related note, isn't it odd that in canon the only upgrade design was Herc II?

The Medusa is exactly 36 meters, iirc.
